Watch Your Inbox: Children’s Institute Event Link to Arrive July 10
Booksellers should keep an eye on their inboxes (and spam folders) for an invitation to log in to the 8th annual Children’s Institute (Ci8), which is taking place July 15-16.
On Thursday, July 9, registered booksellers will receive an email from the American Booksellers Association with information about the event, including materials for the Rep Picks presentations and a link to view who’s attending.
On Friday, July 10, an email will arrive from Hopin, the virtual platform where booksellers are gathering for Ci8. That email will include a unique link to join the institute. ABA encourages booksellers to log in early on July 15 to explore the platform; the virtual doors will open 60 minutes before Ci8 begins. Booksellers can log out and log back in at any time throughout the day. A reminder about Ci8 will be sent from Hopin on Tuesday, July 14.
Those who registered for the White Anti-Racist Allyship workshop should watch their inbox on Friday, July 10, for an email from ABA’s Joy Dallanegra-Sanger, who will share login information for the workshop as well as important materials to read ahead of time. (Note: there is a lengthy waiting list for the workshop. If you signed up but can’t attend, please let ABA know by the end of the day on June 9 at [email protected] so another bookseller can take your place.)
Those who signed up for one-on-one meetings with the IndieCommerce team will receive an email on Friday, July 10, with the link to attend their meeting. Booksellers can still make appointments for one-on-one time. A walk-in space will also be available.
Attendees experiencing technical difficulties can email [email protected]. General questions can be sent to [email protected].
