Visit the Advocacy Team at the Wi15 Ask ABA Desk

The American Booksellers Association’s Dave Grogan and Molly Bond, the team behind the American Booksellers for Free Expression (ABFE) and ABA’s advocacy efforts, will be on hand at the Ask ABA desk during the 15th annual Winter Institute next week in Baltimore.

Stop by the Ask ABA desk between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22; Thursday, January 23; or Friday, January 24, for all of your free speech and advocacy-related questions.

Booksellers are invited to speak with the advocacy team about any legislative or policy issues that impact their store, negatively or positively, including:

• Antitrust issues
• Free speech and First Amendment issues
• Minimum wage
• Tariffs
• Third-Party Marketplace Facilitator laws and how they impact your state and business
• How to organize effective meetings with community leaders and state and federal lawmakers
• Access to capital
• Health insurance and association health plans
