Regional Bookselling Associations to Present Closing Keynote Event With Allie Brosh
The eight regional bookseller associations are working together this fall to present a special trade show season closing keynote event with author and artist Allie Brosh.
Independent booksellers are invited to join in on Wednesday, October 14, at 7:00 pm E.T. Brosh will discuss her new book, Solutions and Other Problems (Gallery Books), with Jenny Lawson, author of Broken (in the Best Possible Way) (Henry Holt and Co., April 6, 2021) and owner of Nowhere Bookshop in San Antonio. The pair will be introduced by Mary Laura Philpott, author of I Miss You When I Blink (S&S), and there will be an opportunity for audience questions after the discussion.
Brosh’s critically acclaimed debut, Hyperbole and a Half, was selected by indie booksellers as the #1 Indie Next Pick upon its publication in 2013 and landed at #1 on the indie bestseller list. An Indie Next Pick for October, Solutions and Other Problems is an original, full-color collection of autobiographical, illustrated essays encompassing stories from Brosh’s childhood.
The virtual event will be held via Zoom Webinar, and access will be limited to association member booksellers only. Booksellers can register for free here. Attendance is limited 500; a waiting list will be available. Approved registered attendees will receive a Zoom Webinar link prior to the event.
