Join Ingram for “Indies on the Harbor” at Winter Institute
Ingram’s “Indies on the Harbor” offers all attendees at the American Booksellers Association’s 2020 Winter Institute an opportunity to relax and chat with independent booksellers and publishers from around the country and the globe in a cozy corner of the hotel overlooking the famed Camden Yards ballpark.
From 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, in the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor’s South Foyer, chat with publishers and editors, enjoy a cup of coffee, and explore titles from the more than 25 presses represented at Winter Institute and the 600-plus independent publishers under Ingram’s wing.
This year, the Ingram space will feature a neon sign that says “We Love Books,” which will be displayed in a photo booth; booksellers who take a photo, share it on Instagram, and tag #IngramforIndies and @indiebookbuzz will be entered to win $250 in ipage credit. Booksellers will also have an opportunity to win a scholarship to the 2021 Winter Institute.
Ingram is also hosting the Ingram Drinks & Hors d’Oeuvres Open Reception in the South Foyer on Wednesday, January 22, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“We are thrilled to partner with the ABA again this year to make the Winter Institute possible. This is such an important opportunity to bring together booksellers, publishers, authors and more. The industry continues to evolve and change but one thing remains the same — independent booksellers are the lifeblood of our industry. When they succeed, we all succeed, which is why we value this conference and our larger partnership with the ABA so much,” said Ingram Chief Commercial Officer Shawn Everson.
The 2020 Winter Institute is sponsored by Ingram Content Group and publishers large and small. See the full Winter Institute program here. Questions about Wi15 can be sent to [email protected].
