Forum in San Francisco Sunday: Final Events in April in White Plains and Boston
The American Booksellers Association’s Spring Forum schedule continues this Sunday with a program in San Francisco in conjunction with the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association’s Spring Gathering and concludes at the end of April with events in White Plains, New York, and Boston, Massachusetts.
Each program will include an open discussion about industry issues, as well as the education session “Conversations That Work,” which generated constructive dialogue at earlier forums.
Below is scheduling information regarding the Spring Forums in each location.
Sunday, March 30: San Francisco, California
Join ABA CEO Oren Teicher and Content Officer Dan Cullen for a forum program in conjunction with the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association’s Spring Gathering, at NCIBA’s offices at the Presidio, 1007 General Kennedy Avenue, San Francisco.
- Registration and Continental Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- Booksellers Forum: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
- Conversations That Work: 10:15 to 11:30 a.m.
NCIBA Spring Gathering programming continues:
- Author Reception: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Buffet Lunch: 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- “Speed Dating” Rep Picks: 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
- Maximizing California Bookstore Day: 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday, April 29: White Plains, New York
Join ABA staff for a forum program in conjunction with New Atlantic Independent Booksellers Association at the American Booksellers Association’s offices, 333 Westchester Avenue, White Plains.
- Conversations That Work: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Booksellers Forum: 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
For planning purposes, booksellers who will be attending the program in White Plains are asked to RSVP to ABA Member Relationship Manager Catherine Cusick by the end of the day on Tuesday, April 22.
Wednesday, April 30: Boston, Massachusetts
Join ABA CEO Oren Teicher, Content Officer Dan Cullen, Senior Program Officer Joy Dallanegra-Sanger, and Member Relationship Manager Catherine Cusick for a forum program in conjunction with the New England Independent Booksellers Association’s All About the Books! at Bordy Theater at Emerson College, 216 Tremont Street, Boston.
- All About the Books!: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Conversations That Work and Booksellers Forum: 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
