Deadlines Approach for Wi10 Conference Fee Refund and Special Rate at Renaissance Hotel
Two important Winter Institute deadlines are drawing near: December 31 is the last day for booksellers to cancel their conference registration and still receive a refund; January 9 is the deadline to secure the ABA rate for accommodations at the overflow hotel, the Asheville Renaissance.
To cancel a Winter Institute registration, booksellers should send an e-mail to [email protected]. The e-mail should also indicate whether the registrant has a reservation at the Grove Park Inn or a spot on the hotel waitlist, which can be given to another bookseller. Booksellers are asked to let American Booksellers Association staff know about any changes to their plans as soon as possible to give waiting booksellers a better chance of attending the event. Registration cancellations received after December 31 will not be refunded.
Until January 30, any changes to reservations at the Grove Park Inn should go through ABA rather than the hotel to ensure that cancelled rooms go to waiting booksellers. After January 30, booksellers should cancel directly with the Grove Park Inn.
The deadline for securing the ABA rate at the Winter Institute overflow hotel, the Renaissance Asheville Hotel at 31 Woodfin Street, is January 9, 2015. The rate is $129 plus tax per night and includes daily shuttle bus service to the Grove Park Inn. Reservations at the Renaissance can be made here and should be updated directly with the hotel.
