Candlewick Launches Digital Find Waldo Local Resources for 2020 Celebration

Because of the uncertainty surrounding the time frame of social distancing recommendations due to the coronavirus, Find Waldo Local, Candlewick’s longtime program supporting independent bookstores and promoting the shop local movement, has been postponed until July 2021.

Although the physical campaign is on hold, Candlewick and the American Booksellers Association are working together to create a turnkey digital Waldo scavenger hunt for independent bookstores to host this summer.

This week, Candlewick launched the Where’s Waldo? At Home web portal that features activities for quarantining families and assets for retailers, including downloadable activity sheets, book information and videos, and a social media campaign using the hashtag #FindWaldoatHome.
