The Deadline For 2024 Health Coverage Is Almost Here!

ABA wanted to remind booksellers that the 2024 Open Enrollment Period for health coverage is ending in less than two weeks. Booksellers who need to look at coverage solutions that will start on January 1, 2024, for themselves, their families, and/or their employees need to call or schedule an appointment with the team at LIG Solutions as soon as possible.

Under 65 Coverage for Individuals and Families*

The Open Enrollment Period for ACA plans has been extended to January 16, 2024, BUT you need to be aware of these deadlines:

• December 15, 2023 is the deadline to enroll if someone needs coverage to start on January 1, 2024.
• January 16, 2024 is the deadline to enroll if someone needs coverage to start on February 1, 2024.

Medicare (Over 65)*

The Annual Enrollment Period for Medicare ends on December 7, 2023.

Employee Coverage Solutions

For booksellers who need health coverage options for employees with an ICHRA or traditional group employer plans — these can be done at any time of the year but call or schedule an appointment to learn more.

As these deadlines draw near, please note that booksellers who need their health coverage to start by January 1, 2024 must enroll by December 15, 2023. While booksellers can still enroll after December 15, it is important to remember that this will be a February 1, 2024, start date and all plans must be finalized by January 16, 2024.
