- If you haven’t already, please upload your video to YouTube. We have chosen YouTube for video hosting because it provides a fast, familiar interface, and standardizes the process of displaying video content through the IndieBound website. Plus, we bet your video is on YouTube already…
- Create an account on IndieBound.org by clicking on “Join the Community” on the blue bar at top, or log in if you have an existing user account on IndieBound.org.
- Navigate to: http://www.indiebound.org/publishers
- For each book trailer video you’d like to post, enter the ISBN, and the URL for the video on YouTube (e.g., http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obK4i1oaC70). You can also note whether this book has been selected for an edition of the Indie Next List.
- Please allow 1-3 days for review & approval. This is just to ensure that unauthorized parties are not able to add content to book pages. You will receive an email notification when your video has been approved.
IndieBound gives authors all the tools they need to link to their books for sale through indie bookstores. Please encourage your authors to include a link to IndieBound on their website.
