Regional Association trade shows take place throughout September and October.
Although the regional associations are not a part of the ABA, we do work quite closely with them and encourage you to join them as well. The regional associations provide a local focus, voice, and promotional and networking opportunities.

Each year at BookExpo America, ABA offers a full day of targeted, free, educational programming for ABA bookstore and provisional members. This year's Day of Education was held at Hotel ABA, the Renaissance Hollywood, in Los Angeles, and featured 15 seminars, a round table discussion for established stores, and two keynote speakers.

The fourth annual ABA Winter Institute will be held from Thursday, January 29, through Sunday, February 1, in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown.
At the ABA Bookseller Forums, booksellers can meet with ABA staff and members of the ABA Board of Directors to discuss industry issues, voice their concerns and offer input on the future direction of ABA, receive updates on ABA programs and initiatives, and take part in ABA educational seminars.
The key to an informed launch of a new bookstore is education and training.
